I’m Dr. Kimberly J. Matthews, a board-certified pediatrician dedicated to providing compassionate, personalized care for children from birth through young adulthood. I founded this practice with the vision of creating a warm, welcoming medical home where families feel heard, supported, and confident in their child’s care.
I earned both my undergraduate and medical degrees from Brown University, an experience that shaped my commitment to academic excellence and service. I completed my pediatric residency at The Brooklyn Hospital Center, where I had the privilege of caring for children and families from diverse backgrounds and strengthening my dedication to community-centered care. I am board-certified in Pediatrics and have extensive experience caring for children in both outpatient and hospital settings throughout New York.
As a first-generation Caribbean-American, born and raised in New York, I was inspired by my parents’ resilience, work ethic, and belief in education and service. Their example instilled in me a deep sense of purpose and compassion that continues to guide my work as a pediatrician.
I am proud to live in Jamaica Estates, Queens, the same community where my practice is located and where my husband and I are raising our two daughters. This personal connection gives me a meaningful investment in the health and well-being of the families I serve. This practice is truly a family endeavor—my husband, Gregory, serves as co-owner and manages the day-to-day operations of the office, helping ensure that every family receives attentive, personalized care in a thoughtfully run environment.
In addition to my clinical work, I have spent nearly a decadevolunteering with Connecting Kids with Care, providing medical consultations for children in orphanages and foster homes internationally. This experience has further strengthened my commitment to caring for children with empathy, respect, and dignity.
As both a pediatrician and a mother, I understand the trust families place in their child’s physician. I believe pediatric care is a partnership, and I am committed to building lasting relationships with families while providing thoughtful, evidence-based care in a supportive and respectful environment.
In my spare time, I enjoy traveling, dancing, and spending time with close friends and family. These experiences help me stay grounded and bring balance to my life, reinforcing the same values of family, connection, and well-being that I strive to support in the families I care for.
It is truly an honor to serve this community and to care for children during the most important years of their growth and developments and relaxing rituals.
